Loris - Mrs. Delphia Blackburn Boyd, 79, died Sunday in a Charleston hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Loris First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery, directed by Hardwick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Charles and Melvina Harrelson Blackburn. She was married to the late Daniel Lyde Boyd Sr. She was a member of the Loris First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, B. Frank Boyd of Loris, four daughters, Mrs. W. Joyce Suggs of Cameron, NC, Mrs. George Hewitt of Florence, Mrs. Oliver Duncan of Loris and Mrs. Joe Duncan of Tabor City, NC; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Berger of St. Petersburg, FL, 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
