Lee Muston, 79, died on August 19, 2006 at the Veterans Hospital in Temple. He was a lifelong resident of Rockdale. Funeral services were held at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale on August 22, 2006 with Rev. Jack Chelf of First Baptist Church in Rockdale and Rev. Jim Muston of Cordova, TN officiating. Burial was in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Lee was born on February 1, 1927 in Austin to Marion F. and Rosie E. (Morrison) Muston. He worked in construction at ALCOA – Rockdale operations from which he retired in 1989. His parents and 5 brothers, Otis, Amon, Fadie, Claudie and Irvin Muston preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Nannie of Rockdale; sons, Roy Lee Muston and wife, Bert of Pasadena and Rev. Jim Muston and wife, Sandy of Cordova, TN; daughters, Juanita Beason and husband, Billy, Bonnie Kelley and husband, Danny and Kathy Muston all of Rockdale. He is also survived by his brother, Frank Muston of Rockdale and 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Caleb, Muston Kendal Beason, Josh Muston, Jason Muston, Kevin Kelley, Aaron Townsend and Seth Rurup.
Lee was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale and a veteran of the US Army. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church (Parsonage Remodeling Fund), P.O. Box 109, Rockdale, Texas 76567.
