Leta Z. .Hay, 89, of Gibson City died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 19, 1984) at Gibson Community Hospital Annex.

She was born March 25, 1894, at Grant, Iowa, a daughter of John and Marie Westrope Kilpatrick.

She married John C. Hay July 5, 1932, at Chicago. He died May 18, 1960.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane C. Burns, Gibson City; a granddaughter; and three greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Mrs.Hay had been a Gibson City resident since 1932. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Gibson Community Hospital Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, Business and Professional Women, Gibson City Woman's Club and the Gibson City Senior Citizens. In 1978, she was presented with a 50-year pin from the Eastern Star. She had been employed as a nurse's aide at Gibson Community Hospital for 20 years and served as an election Judge for 33 years.
