Magnolia Colwell Dead at Age 86

Mrs. Magnolia Colwell, 86, formerly of 1017 E. McClure Ave. and Princeville, died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph W. Finn, 1388 N. Coolidge Ave., Pasadena, Calif. Mrs. Colwell had made her home there for the last 18 months.
Born at Princeville Nov. 30, 1868, she was the daughter of William and Sarah Heberling Selby. She was married to Douglas Colwell at Princeville in 1890. He died at Wyoming in 1911.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Fay Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Blanche Wynne of Tuscumbia, Ala., Mrs. Gladys Harsch of Peoria and Mrs. Finn of Pasadena, Calif.; three son, Paul H. Colwell, Eric S. Colwell and Allen D. Colwell, all of Peoria; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Hodges died in July, 1954. Two sisters and one brother also precede her in death.
Funeral services will be held her at the Guass Mortuary at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Richard W. Knost of First Universalist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
