Carole Elaine Holmes, formerly from Somerville and Arlington Massachusetts, passed away at the Centra State Hospital in Freehold, New Jersey. Carole was 84 years old and moved to New Jersey to be near her sister, Audrey Giordano where they had some quality time together before Audrey’s passing in 2018. Carole spent most of her career working for Somerville Lumber as an executive assistant and was a mainstay in the growth and success of that company.
Carole is predeceased by her parents, Madeline and Thomas Holmes, and her sisters Madeline Kelly and Audrey Giordano. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Robert, Tracey, Kristen, Paul, Mark and Sean.
Carole was a quiet and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Due to restrictions imposed by Massachusetts and the COVID-19 virus a private burial will take place at Mount Auburn Cemetery in the family plot. Anyone interested in making a donation in Carole’s name consider the St. Jude charity.
