Julia was the daughter of G.W. Wright and Betty Watson Wright. She married Hampton Holcomb Newton June 2, 1917. When Hamp died in 1937 she married James Vernon Shannon. She was a sweet and gentle lady who loved family, people and her God.
She spent her life caring for her handicapped daughter and son, and always with a smile.
She was one of God's own angels.
