Karen Rosenberg, 51, died on September 24, 2006 in Austin. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. David Payne of Bee Creek United Methodist Church and Rev. Barry Methvin and Calvin Springer at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial was in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Austin Ament, Jared Ament, Keyloe McKenzie, Fritz Feltner, Milton Brooks and Jim Darwin.
Karen was born October 19, 1954 in Cameron and was raised in Rockdale. Her parents were Jerry and Peggy (Dreher) Hosek. She was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for 26 years. She and Ray Rosenberg were married April 8, 2006 in Spicewood, where she resided at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband, Ray, of Spicewood, sons, Colin A. Butschek and William Chase Butschek also of Spicewood; mother-in-law, Sylvia Rosenberg of New Orleans and sister, Debbie Ament and husband Charles of Gatesville.
Karen was a member of Bee Creek United Methodist Church in Spicewood. She graduated from Rockdale High School in 1973, graduated SWT University in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She was a graduate of Delta Flight Training School in 1980.
