Born in Mifflintown, he was the son of Keith E. and Cathy (Miller) Wadel, of Dry Run.
An outdoor enthusiast, he loved everything about farming, hunting and recreational activities. He was an active, faithful member of New Hope Mennonite Church in Upper Strasburg.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are parents-in-law, Tim and Jen Semple, of Spring Run and Sandy Semple of Mercersburg; 4 siblings, Greg (Roxann) Wadel of Shippensburg, Kendall (Kaylene) Wadel, of Dry Run, Miranda (Brent) Weaver, of Newburg, PA and Shanae (Trent) Huber of Milverton, ON, Canada; brother-in-law, Kyle E. Semple and his friend, Kaylee Beattie, of Spring Run, a stepsister, McKayla Semple of Spring Run and a half-brother, Cole Beecher of Mercersburg. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Dale and Wilma Wadel, of Shippensburg and maternal grandparents, Bonnie and Leonard Hockenberry, of Willow Hill and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Viewing Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 (today) between 2 -4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run. The funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 4, at 10:30 AM in the Chambersburg Mennonite Church, 1800 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, where there will be an additional viewing after 9:30 a.m. Interment Rowe Mennonite Cemetery, Shippensburg.
