Albert was the only the only child of Albert O. and Clara Branen Gurnsey. He was born near Elgin, Ne. He moved to Rock county with his parents in 1940 and he graduated from Rock county High School. Albert married Eveline Herren on 22 July 1950 and they were parents of five sons. They spent most of their life together near Basset farming, ranching, and on a dairy farm. He died near Bassett. Albert was survived by sons: Rick, Ross, Avery, Monte, and Carl; 25 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson. Albert was preceded in death by his wife and 2 grandchildren. He was active in his church, the schools and Rock county. Rest in peace, Albert, you were a good man and will be missed.
