Jerome Martin Holloway was the father of many children. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sadie (Fisher) Holloway,who died in the 1918 flu epidemic. He had 4 children by this first marriage: Edward, Dorothy, Julia and a son, James, who died as an infant. His second marriage was to Della Cropper. She had two children by a previous marriage: Edith and Reba Brittingham. Together Jerome and Della had the following children: Frances Ann, Vincent Jerome, Mary Elizabeth, Ruth Jane, Rosalie Joyce, Calvin Martin, Madelyn, Violet Louise and Florence Christine. All of these children lived to adulthood except for Calvin who died at the age of 10 from rheumatic fever. My grandfather worked very hard to support his children and was well-known as a talented horse handler.
