Edna E. Barclay, 94 years old, of Atchison, KS passed away on Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Atchison Medicalodge.
Edna E. Scott was born on August 13, 1913, in Green City, MO, the daughter of Lawrence M. and Cora T. Weston Scott. She graduated from Green City High School and moved to Atchison in 1941.
She was a homemaker and housewife, a member of the First Christian Church, the Christian Women's Fellowship, the Parallel Home Demonstration Unit, and the Garden Club, of Atchison. Edna enjoyed flowers, crafts, and especially her family.
She was married to Paul B. Barclay on January 17, 1935, in Brookfield, MO.
Survivors include a son; Ted and his wife; Juanita Barclay, Independence, MO, three grandchildren; Tom Barclay, Parkville, MO, Kevin Barclay, Westwood, KS, and Paula Barclay, Independence, MO, and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Barclay preceded her in death on November 21, 2003. Her parents; a brother, Glen Scott; and two sisters, Hattie Clem and and Oakel Mooreland also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11: a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Hendon, Pastor of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, 800 Kansas Ave., Atchison, KS.
