PORTLAND--Mrs. Laura Whiteman Bricker, 76, died Friday in the Jay County Hospital after a two-week illness.

She was born in Jackson Township and had spent most of her life there. She was the widow of Elmer Bricker and was a member of the Friends Church. She had attended Marion Normal College and was a former school teacher.

Surviving are four son, Maruice Bricker, Willard Bricker, Frank Bricker, and Richard Bricker, three daughters, Mrs. Otis Nunn, Mrs. Sam Trowbridge, and Mrs. Earl Rose, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Kessler and Mrs. George Frauenberger, 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
