Vidal Ruben "Scooter" Baca, age 58, went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2020, after battling cancer for 7 ½ years. Ruben was surrounded by his loving family.
Ruben was a member of Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church.
Ruben was well known for his kindness, mechanics and was a "jack of all trades", who would help whoever he could.
Ruben was preceded in death by his father, George C. Baca, brothers, Lorenzo, Tomás "Tommy" and Fernando Baca, grandparents, Juan and Elena Vallejos and Tomás and Margarita Baca and step-son, Michael Tiger" Martínez.
Ruben is survived by his life partner of 28 years, Virginia Martínez, his granddaughter that he raised, Adrianna Martínez, step-sons, John (Dianna) Martínez and Steven (Gloria) Martínez, grandchildren, Angel, Gabrieland Leticia, his mother, Emma Baca, brother, George Baca, sisters, Dolores Ramírez, Patsy (Frankie) Sedillo, Josephine Baca, Lorraine (Phillip Delgado and Helen Vallejos, sister-in-law, Diedra Baca and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at Our Lady of Belén Memorial Gardens on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support, prayers and love during this difficult time.
