NORMA'S OBITUARY
Norma Jean Dowell of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday night at Franciscan East in Lafayette. She was 82 years old.

Norma was a homemaker that also worked at Murphy’s, Cambridge Inn and her favorite job was a cook for Rocky Ridge. She liked to watch TV and play Bingo. Most of all, she liked to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Born March 3, 1938 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Wilbur Hutchens and Dorothy LaFollette Hutchens. She attended Darlington schools. She married Luther “Ted” Dowell May 31, 1958 at Darlington. He passed away Dec. 28, 2001.

Surviving family includes: four daughters, Tammy (Jason) Smith, Terri (Rick) Sloan, Hazel Dowell, Viola (Jeff) Long; ten grandchildren, Ryan (AJ) Goldsby, Courtney (Eric) Reagan, Michael (Schyler) Greene, Nathaniel (fiance’ Abby) Ferrier, James Ferrier, Kevin (fiance’ Paige) Long, Nick (Haley) Long, Samantha (fiance’ Ryan Williams) Long, Brandon Long, Matthew (fiance’ Delani Williams) Long; six great grandchildren; brother, Jerald Hutchens.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kenny Goldsby, brother, Tom Hutchens, her parents and husband.

Graveside services will be at Noon Thursday, Dec. 31st at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Darlington. Donations may be made to assist the family through Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville.
