Nannie, the devoted wife and beloved companion of I.E. Shannon departed from the sorrow and trouble and vicissitudes of this life on Tuesday morning, February 14th at 4:10 am at her home near Fairland. Mrs. Shannon quietly passed away after a short illness of one week with Pneumonia. She was born in Indiana July 16, 1879 and at the time of her death was 26 years, 6 months and 28 days old. The deceased was not aware of her sinking condition and was very hopeful of recovery. The remains were tenderly laid in their last resting place in Corum Cemetery. Mrs. Shannon was a true and devoted companion unto her bereaved husband and a loving mother to her five surviving children.
