Gerald Lee Aytes of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on December 23, 2020 at the age of 76. He was born on October 1, 1944 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charley Dayton and Nellamae Lillian Pasley Aytes.

Gerald was a 1962 graduate of Blackwell High School. Following his high school graduation, he moved along with his parents to Olivehurst, California. Gerald proudly served his country, enlisting in the United States Army in May of 1963 and was a truck driver for the military until he was honorably discharged in May of 1966. Following his military service, Gerald returned to California.

In 1966, he married Janet Bathurst in Olivehurst, California. The two had one daughter, Jeri Lynn. While in California, Gerald worked for Caterpillar Equipment Company. Gerald returned to Oklahoma in 1984. He lived in Tahlequah, Ponca City and Blackwell before moving to Prague in 1989.

A graveside service is scheduled for December 31, 2020 at Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague. An online guestbook is available at www.parksbrothers.net.
