Mr Sam'l Atkins died Monday afternoon, 9th inst about 3 o'clock. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Tremain at McCabe chapel Wednesday at 11 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest by the side of the wife of his youth, in the Fairview cemetery, that is in the southeast part of this township. We heard him say several times during his last sickness that he was ready and willing to go whenever the Master called and he frequently advised his friends to be ready to go at any time. He was a member of the M.E. church at McCabe.
