Sarah Ann was born in Sutton, Nottinghamshire, England, Sept. 3d 1819. She was left motherless at the age of seven, and her father (a Methodist preacher), died three years afterwards. She was employed in a factory at twelve, although it was not customary then to employ anyone under fourteen years of age. She worked in the same factory fifteen years; was married to Wm. Flinders in 1843 and in 1847 moved to Derbyshire where they embraced the Gospel.
In the year 1866 they moved to Riverdale, Utah, where they resided until the year 1869, when they moved to Hooper.
Sister Flinders was a faithful Latter day Saint, and strictly honest in all her dealings and transactions in life.
The funeral services were held in the Relief Society Hall yesterday at 2 p.m. Elders Fowers and Cox did honor to her memory by reference to her many virtues.
Much was also said, by way of consolation, to her bereaved consort, whose greatest anxiety now is that he may live as to be worthy of again associating with her in eternity. Her remains were followed to the cemetery by a numerous concourse people, and were quietly laid within the tomb to await the morning of the resurrection.
Respectfully
