Ruth Alleman Carpenter

St. George - Ruth Alleman Carpenter, age 98, passed away on December 22, 2020 due to Cardiovascular Disease. She was born November 30, 1922 in Nounan, ID to Abraham and Elizabeth Buehler Alleman, the youngest of six children.

At age 19 she moved to Southern California where she met Alan Carpenter. Two months after their first date on Easter Sunday at Knott's Berry Farm, they were married on June 27, 1942. Together they raised four children: Dona (Leonard) Dunkovich of Hurricane, UT, Thomas (Christine) Carpenter of St. George, UT, Jerald (Debi) Carpenter of Yorba Linda, CA, and Lori Noble of Fallon, NV. She is also survived by four granddaughters, one grandson, and five great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings, especially as ward librarian.
