Memorial Services for Mrs. Margaret Griswold Glover Spidle, 91, of Birmingham, formerly of Anniston, will be announced at a later date.

Margaret was born in 1929 in Richmond, Virginia, the youngest of two daughters, to Minna Baukhages Glover and Howard Griswold Glover. She attended Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia and Birmingham Southern College, where she joined the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and met her husband of 62 years, William "Bill" Spidle. Margaret and Bill then attended the University of Alabama together.

She was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, volunteered for the Pink Ladies at Regional Medical Center, and was very involved with her community.

Margaret’s last days were spent being cared for by family. She died peacefully at the home of one of her daughters.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband William E. Spidle; her sister, Elizabeth Jenks; an infant daughter, Sarah; and a granddaughter, Amy Keat.

She is survived by her daughters, Maggie Noland, Elizabeth Mullendore (Steve), Emily Long (Jack), Judith Keat (Jim), and Amy Madison (Kenneth); 12 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
