Edward "Lamar" Wasdin

Pensacola - Edward "Lamar" Wasdin passed way at his residence on December 15, 2020. He was born on September 4, 1941 to Eunice "Eune" and Minnie G. Wasdin. He graduated from Escambia County High School in Atmore, Alabama and the University of West Florida. He had a distinguished 35 year civilian career with the Department of the Navy, first at the Naval Aviation Depot Pensacola and later at the Chief of Naval Education and Training (CNET) Pensacola. He was a man of great faith and longtime Elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Cheryl G. Wasdin, his son Keith and daughter-in-law Rebecca Wasdin, granddaughter Sarah Beth Wasdin, and Aunt Alice Morin.

The family would like to thank the employees of Sacred Heart Hospital, Sacred Heart Cancer Group, and the wonderful employees of Covenant Hospice for their loving care.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11AM in Oak Hill Cemetery,Atmore, Alabama.
