Beloved husband, cherished brother and treasured uncle and friend, Russell George “Rusty” Asaff, age 70, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Friday, December 18, 2020. Rusty was born in Marshall, Texas on August 31, 1950 to Willie Eli Asaff and Bertha (Thomas) Asaff. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bertha Asaff; his brothers, Bill Asaff and Jerry Asaff; sister-in-law, Cindy Albright and parents-in-law, J.J. Lowe and Margaret Lowe. Rusty is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Judy Gay (Lowe) Asaff; his brother, Tommy Asaff (Jan); sister-in-law, Glena Low; nephews and nieces, Craig Asaff, Jr., (Robin) and their children, Rhett and Austin, Chris Asaff (Alissa) and their children, Ashlyn, Cale and Abby, Eric Asaff (Ally) and their children, Alex and Eli, Matt Albright (Phoenix) and their child, Sophie, and Andy Albright, his best friend, Phillip Ford, as well as a host of other special family and friends.

Rusty was born and raised in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School in 1969. He earned his business degree from East Texas State, and sold jewelry in those younger years prior to his 38+ year career as a realtor. Rusty was a Mavericks fan and became a Texas Longhorn fan when his brother attended school there. He loved all sports and watched every channel he could that aired sporting events.
