Phoebe Emeline, daughter of George and Sarah Wright, was born in Liberty, Nebraska, March 17, 1877 and departed this life February 1, 1961 at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 16 days, in the home of her daugther, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown. On September 27, 1898 she was united in marriage to John D. Fisher, at Marysville, Kansas. To this union four children were born. Mr. Fisher and three children preceded her in death. Mrs. Fisher with her family moved to Gravette community from Kansas in 1920 and has made this home since. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Brown; three grandchildren, Bob and Phoebe Ann of the home and Mrs. Evelyn Kelley; and two great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends who mourn her passing. She became a Christian early in life and was a member of the Gravette Gospel Tabernacle. Mrs. Fisher had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Brown for some time. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Canady officiating. Burial was at the Bethal cemetery under the direction of Callison-McKinney Funeral home.
