Barbara Nell Parker was born in Groesbeck, Texas on September 20, 1934 and went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 5:55pm.

Barbara retired from the retail industry to look after her family. She dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She taught many life lessons and prepared them to go out and find their place in the world.

Her sense of humor, honest wit and glorious laugh will be missed by all those who knew her. Her selfless nature enriched the lives of everyone that surrounded her. She lived a great life and we should all feel blessed to know she passed along every bit of knowledge she had to offer and rests comfortably now with her beloved husband Ray, children, grandchildren and other family members.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sherri Puckett, stepson and daughter-in-law, Larry and Alice Ross, stepson, Pete Ross, stepdaughter and husband, Cindy and Ronnie Delaney, step-son, Rayford Parker, Jr., son-in-law Kenny Haverkorn, daughter-in-law Regina Bryant, brother-in-law Dan Parker, niece, Helen Kattness and family, nephew, Mike Holt and wife Janet Holt, her grandchildren Michael Markham, Jeremy Puckett, Phillip Abbott, Dewayne Abbott, Angela Abbott, Lillian Gomez and Joseph Murray and many great grandkids and great-great grandkids and numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford “Ray” Parker her parents, Melvin Lapoleon and Cora Cargile, siblings, Melvin Cargile, Jean Morris, Birdie Lee Cargile, three of her children, Patricia Ann Haverkorn, Kimberly Nell Cody and Willard Glenn Bryant, two of her step-children, Bruce Parker and Deborah Boone, and two of her grandchildren, Christy Ann Vicks and Ricky Allen Markham.

A service celebrating the life of Barbara will be Friday, December 18, 2020, at 1:00pm in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral and Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
