Robert “Bob” Dale Clark, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Munday, WV, he had been a Hampton resident for many years where he worked as a machinist at Metro Machine. He was a former member of the Hampton Moose Lodge #1514, the Virginia Peninsula USBC and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers. He was an avid bowler at Century Lanes in Hampton and bowled in numerous state-wide tournaments. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Sarah Clark and three brothers, Marion “Jim” Clark, Steven Clark and Larry Clark. Survivors include his wife, Carol Clark; his children, Sherry Hammond (John), Teresa Hudgins (Jerry), Robert Clark II and Craig Baker (Tammy); two sisters, Sharon Saunders and Sue Pursley; a brother, Johnny “Buck” Clark; four grandchildren, Connor Hudgins (Kari), Sydney Morse (Jacob), Justin Baker and Jaxson Hammond; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Nix, Bryce Nix and Preston Hudgins; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 20, 2020 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
