"Bob" Robert F. Benton Sr. passed away at his home in Folsom, California on January 20, 2005. Born on April 15, 19 33 in Elyria, Ohio, Bob also found time to make his home in Ontario, California and Kingsland, Texas. Bob retired from United Airlines in 1994 after 35 years of service. He was also a veteran of The United States Navy. In Ontario, Bob served as President of the Senior League Baseball as he definitely loved his sports! While living in Texas, Bob was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church, on the Board of Directors at Kingsland Municipal Utilities District, and a member of Kingsland Lyons Club. Thr oughout his life, Bob was known to have had a big heart which was filled with love especially for his family and friends. Survived by his wife of 52 years "Millie" Mildred Benton of Folsom California, Daughter "Debbie" Debra K. Stone of Upland California, Son "Bobby" Robert F. Benton Jr. and Daughter-in-Law Jody Benton of Upland California, Daughter Lisa A. Elston and Son-in-Law John N. Elston of Folsom California. Grandchildren: Amanda Rae Stone of Upland, California, Todd Fry of Chino, California and Whitney Fry of Upland, California, Courtney N. Elston and "Jake the Snake" Jacob C. Elston of Folsom California. Brothers David Benton of Oklahoma, Bill Benton of Ohio, and sister Gloria McGirr of Texas. Bob was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 28th, 2005 at Stone Funeral Home 355 E. 9th St Upland, California, Private Inurnment.
