Jim graduated from Brighton High School in 1949. After briefly attending Harding Christian College, he enlisted in the Air Force in 1951. After returning home in March of 1955, he met Monte. After their marriage in November of that year, they moved into the farmhouse where Jim was born. Jim continued to live and work on that family farm until his death. Preceded by sisters Ida Roberts and Venice Boxer. Survivors included: sisters Maryann Healy and Jeanetta Stout; survived by daughter-in-law Virginia, grandsons Darain (Krista) and Andrew and great-grandsons Harold and John
