Verna Testerman Lewis, age 65 of Lansing died Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Genesis-Alleghany Center.
Ms. Lewis was born June 16, 1955, in Pennsylvania to the late Coy and Esther Kiebler Testerman.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert McCarraher and sister, Connie Snyder.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Emmett Lewis, sons, Jack Testerman of Mouth of Wilson, VA, Robert McCarraher and wife Amy of Lansing and Michael McCarraher and wife Julie of Independence, VA, daughter, Marietta Miller and husband Rex of Mouth of Wilson, VA, step-son, Mark Lewis and wife Brittney of Elizabethton, TN, brothers, Michael Testerman and Coy Testerman Jr., 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 1 on the way. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Buddy Freeman. Burial will follow in the Green Cove Baptist Church Cemetery, 31024 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Green Cove, VA 24236. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Monday, November 23rd at Badger Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the family, c/o Badger Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., West Jefferson, NC 28694.
