We announce the passing of A. Joseph “Joe” Strader at age 78 at Chapman House on Monday, December 14, 2020.
Joe was the beloved husband and best friend of Beverley (nee Heasman) and the late Sheila (nee Rehkoph).
He will be deeply missed by his children Joanne and her husband Bob Wilhelm of Hanover, John Strader and his wife Tammy, Steve Strader and his wife Linda of Walkerton, Jim Strader and his wife Kim of Kincardine, Laura and her husband Rick Murray of Scone and stepdaughter Wendy Stewart and her husband Shane Gurney of Owen Sound.
He is loved by 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, along with his sisters Winnie (Russ) and Mary.
Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Brenda, and 2 grandchildren Eric and Brad, and many brothers and sisters.
Joe was born on June 20th 1942, on the Southline of Brant Township to Noah and Amelia (Schwehr) Strader. He was the youngest of 16 children.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at the family farm next summer.
