Agnes V. Brierton, 95, the wife of the late Walter J. Brierton, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 in Manchester, NH. Born in Oceanside, LI, NY she was the daughter of Anton and Minnie Edna (Abrams) Wettach. She had lived in East Hartford from 1942 to 2005. Agnes was a charter member of the East Hartford Women's Club and St. Christopher's Women's Club. She also volunteered for numerous organizations including Meals on Wheels, East Hartford Senior Citizens and the Girl Scouts of America.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Rugg and her husband Brynn of Candia, NH; her sons: Walter Brierton Jr. and his wife Valerie of East Hartford and their children, Robert Brierton and Lori Kubick, and Francis Brierton formerly of East Hartford and his sons, Thomas and Eric Brierton; and her beloved friends and care givers of many years, Warren and Beverly Bartley of East Hartford. Agnes was also predeceased by her sister, Edna Caton.
