Geneva Mendenhall, 90, died Friday, July 27, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka. She was born Feb. 4, 1900, at O'Bannon, KY, to Henry Clay and Geneva (Pedlar) Morrison. She married George Mendenhall; he died August 13, 1960. She was a retired teacher and homemaker. She was a Quinter resident since 1960. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma national teachers sorority and Pi Lambda Theta honorary society. She attended Randolph-Macon Women's College, Lynchburg, VA, and the University of Kansas.

Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Hoffman, North Fort Myers, FL and Elizabeth Shupe, Honolulu, HI; a brother, Franklin Morrison, Parma, OH; and a sister, Emily Chandler, Gaithersburg, MD; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 10 a. m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Quinter, with the Rev. Garner Berg and the Rev. William Miller officiating; burial in Gove Cemetery, Gove. Visitation is from 2-5 p. m. & 7-9 p. m. Wednesday at Hendricks Funeral Home, Quinter.
