Lot Fuller (Jr) was born on 06 May 1760, at Bolton, Connecticut, to Lot Fuller and Rachel (née Webster), his wife. At the age of 17, he enlisted at Berkshire County, Massachusetts, to serve as a private in the Revolutionary War.

He enlisted on 21 July 1777 in Capt. Zenas Wheeler's company, Col. John Ashley's Berkshire County regiment. The company marched to Fort Edward, New York and is reported to have received pay at Albany. He was discharged on 15 August 1777 after 26 days service. On 19 September 1777, he reenlisted in Capt. Samuel Walcut's company, Col. John Ashley's Berkshire County regiment. He served 30 days under Brig. Gen. John Fellows, and the company was ordered out by Gen. Gates to reinforce the Northern army. He was discharged 18 October 1777 after 30 days service, during which time he was engaged in the Battle of Saratoga. Lot enlisted again on 4 June 1778 in Capt. Elijah Deming's company, Col. Ashley's regiment, and served 41 days until he was discharged on 15 July 1778. His final enlistment was on 23 October 1780, in Capt. Enoch Noble's company. Lot served 16 days with Capt. Noble's company, during which time he marched to Bennington to guard frontiers on an alarm. His final discharge was on 7 Nov 1780.
