After college (Ball State and Taylor Universities), she taught in some local elementary schools and then graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago before spending years as a missionary teacher in Central African Republic. JoAnn married Max Paul Kehoe in June of 1976. She was employed by Hooks/Revco/CVS stores in Indiana and Ohio. She was a member of Tippecanoe Community Church, which she attended for a number of years, and she worked the AWANA program there.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, two stepmothers, her husband, Max, and her sister and brother-in-law. Aileen and Jimmie Brown. Surviving are two sisters, RosaLee Rettinger and Peggy Hofmeister, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, at New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. Pastor George Shoemaker will be officiating. Deaton-Clemens Funeral home is entrusted with arranging the service for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Tippecanoe Community Church, 2920 18B Road, Tippecanoe, IN 46570.
