Anna Marie Bird, 85, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 1:55 P.M., Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Friendship Manor Healthcare in Nashville, IL.

Anna was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was an avid Bingo and Pull Tab player. She had done hand and machine quilting for many years. Anna was the glue that held the family together.

She was born September 3, 1935 at Scheller, IL, the daughter of Edward and Catherine (Kabat) Ratajczyk.

Anna married John Bird on April 11, 1953 at the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2003.

She is survived by one daughter- Vickie Goldman and husband Carl of Tamaroa, three sons- Marlin Bird and wife Linda of Pinckneyville, Joseph Bird and wife Tara of Pinckneyville and Mick Bird and wife Sandy of St. Louis, MO, eleven grandchildren - Kevin Goldman and wife Christy, Michael Goldman and wife Brittany, Mark Goldman and wife Valerie, Jason Loucks, Teggi Peters and husband Greg, Christopher Bird, Megan Atkins and husband Seth, Jessica Luckhaupt, Sarah Nordmeyer and husband Matt, Jamie Murphy and husband Andrew and Cody Bredall, twenty-two great grandchildren, two sisters - Eilene Knapp of Du Quoin and Betty Decker of Tamaroa, and one brother - Greg Ratajczyk of Scheller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers - James, Gene, Arthur, Ralph, Albert and Edward Ratajczyk and one sister - Mildred Adams.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville with Bro. Mark Goldman officiating.

Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at the cemetery on Tuesday.

Please use social distancing guidelines. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask.

Burial will be in the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville.
