Descendants and researchers are actively seeking the burial location which is believed to be in Kemper County, Mississippi.

This is the description on this cemetery on Find A Grave (.com). :
"This cemetery is on the land that was first settled by Edward Mosby Sr. when he moved from Gainesville, AL to MS in the late 1830s. The cemetery is unmarked and is on the top of a hill on private property. There are only two marked burials there - both Confederate Veterans. We (family members who recently visited the cemetery) believe that also buried there are Edward Mosby Sr. and his wife Elizabeth Mosby. The distance between the stones that are there and the dates of death of Edward Mosby Jr. and his brother George W. Mosby suggest there are burials between their stones. Reports from those that visited this cemetery many years ago confirm there were wooden crosses there in the past that are no longer standing." - by Charles Rand III
