Mr. Charles Wendell Johnson, 86, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center.
He was born in Madison County Kentucky on May 31, 1934 to the late Anthony W. & Joyce Taylor Johnson. After graduating from University of Kentucky, Mr. Johnson went on to work as a CPA for Mideast Energy, Inc. for 30 years before his retirement.
Survivors include: one son, Jarrod Jerome Johnson; one brother, Phillip Wayne Johnson (Brenda); cousins, Paula Jones (Phil), Kenna Smith and Nathan Smith; 2 grandchildren, Corey Johnson & Joshua Johnson; as well as wonderful great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two beloved cousins, Darnell Bicknell and Nan Smith.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service at the Richmond Cemetery with Dr. Curtis T. Christian officiating.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, is in charge of the arrangements.
