Gene Buttram, 66, of Lebanon, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 3, 2007, at Christian Health Care South in Lebanon.

He was born March 4, 1941, near Grovespring, to Anson and Opal H. Lowery Buttram, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Buttram.

He had worked for Ray Reid Motor Co. in Waynesville for several years, and for Willard Hufft Used Cars in Lebanon. He then worked for the city of Lebanon Water Dept. for 10 years.

He is survived by two sons, Brad Buttram and his wife, Brenda, of Conway and Brian Buttram, of Lebanon; two daughters, Amy Price and her husband, Scott, and Alison Good and her husband, Steve, all of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Kendra, Jason, Brittany, Chris, Samantha and Alex; a great-grandchild, Kaidynce; a brother, Darris Buttram and his wife, Linda, of Springfield; two sisters, Faye Ruble and her husband, Stanley and Lella Hufft, all of Lebanon; also several nieces and nephews.

Services for Gene Buttram will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Sheets officiating.

Burial will be in the Little Vine Cemetery, near Grovespring, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to the Little Vine Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
