Byron B. Bejvancesky, Sr., age 75, died Friday, December 11, 2020 at his home.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward, Nebraska. A reception will follow at the Eagle's Club in Columbus (3205 12th Street).

Byron Boyd Bejvancesky Sr. was born on April 8, 1945, in Lincoln Nebraska to Joseph and Albina (Hromas) Bejvancesky. Byron was united in marriage to the love of his life to Margaret LeAnne Nickerson and was blessed with six children.

Byron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother/brother-in-law. Byron was a member of 1C Sanctuary Church. He was a hard worker. He worked at Becton Dickinson for 30 years and was able to retire early (2004) and start-up his Handy Man business where he could fix and do anything. He enjoyed the outdoors; mowing, landscaping, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He will always be remembered for his contagious smile and an endless watch tan.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Albina Bejvancesky; parents-in-law, Earl and Muriel Nickerson; sister, Mary Ann Soukup.

Grateful for having shared his life, his wife of 56 years, Margaret of Columbus; six children, Brenda Zierke and husband Jerry of Columbus; Sherri Andelt and husband David of Columbus; Tammy Krings and husband Rick of Columbus; Byron Bejvancesky Jr.(Tammy) of Dwight; Kim VanDenTop and husband Paul of Sioux Falls; Denise Dreifurst and husband Troy of Platte Center; 14 beloved grandchildren: Amber (Marty) Micek, Brian Zierke, Daniel Zierke, Jena (Cade) Hassel, Mathew Zierke, Marcus (Miki) Zierke, Ashely (Craig) Schroeder, Brandon Andelt, Dillan Krings, Taylor Krings, Wyatt VanDenTop, Brock Dreifurst, Lexi Dreifurst and Ashton Happ; 12 great-children and 1 great great grand child; three siblings, Barb Siedlik and husband Mike, Diane Bejvancesky and Joe Bejvancesky. Many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
