Memorial service for Dorothy L. Aukland, 92, will be today at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Riverview Terrace, 1801 E. Upriver Drive. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Aukland, who died Thursday, was born in Freeman.
She graduated from Rockford High School and in 1937 married her childhood sweetheart, Harry Auckland. The couple settled in Spokane.
After her husband's death in 1967, she operated a day care center from her South Hill home for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses. She also enjoyed cooking and playing rummy.
