SCOTTSDALE – Services for Thomas R. Allen Jr., 68, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Southern Baptist Church, 711 W. University, Tempe. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School.
Mr. Allen, 8056 E. Indianola, a retired minister who had been associated with the First Southern Baptist Seminary since 1931, died Monday of a heart attack while attending a convention in Miami, Fla.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice; daughter, Mrs. Myron L. Scotten; mother, Mrs. Thomas Allen; a brother; and six grandchildren.
