LOYCE MAE DRAYTON-ROWELL (nee POWELL) "Lacey" Gary, Indiana Born 195?, passed away March 26, 2007. She was employed at USX Steelworkers where she retired after 30 years. She attended Emerson High School, a graduate of Class of 1969. She also attended IUN and Merrillville Beauty College. She was a member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ. Preceded in death by father, Edward E. Powell; sisters, Lynn E. McCuturie and Deborah L. Powell. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, mother, Earsel Powell; husband, Leonard Rowell; son, James William Drayton Jr., all of Gary; daughter, Nyla Nichole (Robert) Samuel of Mesa, AZ; 3 sisters, Gale (Harold) Sanders of Tulsa, OK, Delores Bonner of Hammond, twin, Lola M. James; brother, Jackie Smith; two grandchildren, Janesia and James Drayton III, all of Gary; 1 aunt, 1 uncle; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, March 30, 2007, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family hour from 7 to 8 p.m. at Smith, Bizzell, Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant St. Funeral services Saturday, 11 a.m. at Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ, 834 W. 25th Ave., Pastor & Shepherd, Bishop R.L.
