Emma is the grandmother of Paula G. Fowler, of Seabrook, NH. My grandmother was a wonderful lady and one of both strength and wisdom. I loved her dearly and miss her still today. She was married to William Addison and they had 5 children together.

One of her daughters, Hannah, died at the age of 2, in 1910. She also had a son, William, Jr. (Billy) that died in a boating accident with his father, her husband William, in 1922. She also had and raised three other daughters: Ada, Hannah Belle and Emma. This is another Hannah Belle, after the one that died young.

She then married Paul G. Mestretta and she had 3 more daughters. Maria, Josephine and Margaret. I'm the daughter of Margaret, but was raised by my grandmother Emma and her second husband Paul G. Mestretta.

The personal strength she had has helped me in my own life and I was very lucky to have had her as my grandmother. The one thing that she would say was, "don't cross your bridges until you come to them", and I have lived by these words all my life.

I will always remember these special words she said to me, each night, before she put me to bed. She would say, "Paula, goodnight, sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite", and she always made me feel so special.

She was very special to me also, so I started to write about her over the years, and I dedicated my life story to her. It is called "The Part Of Me I Leave Behind". So I will say, "Goodnight MUM, and sleep-tight MUM and don't let the bedbugs bite MUM".
