Col. Frazier Vaughn, 92, of Collins, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Covington County Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Leaf River Baptist Church. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II and worked in a variety of positions for the Pentagon, worked for Sullivan Motors as a budget consultant, was a member of the Gideons, the Collins Rotary Club and Leaf River Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William Vaughn and Catherine Elizabeth Spell Vaughn; four brothers, Paul Vaughn, Garland Vaughn, Howard Vaughn, and Aubrey Vaughn; sister, Louise Vaughn Mayfield.
He is survived by his wife, Dot Vaughn of Collins; daughter, Sarah Kinsey of Chester, Va.; two brothers, Gene Vaughn of Atlanta, and Murphy Vaughn of Collins; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 5:30-8 p.m. today at Wade-Nowell Funeral Home in Collins and from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday at the church. Wade-Nowell Funeral Home in Collins is in charge of arrangements.
