Cliff served 3 ½ years with the 301st Bombardment Wing, 419th Bombardier Squadron in England, Italy, and North Africa as a crew chief on the B-17, during WWII.
He spent 35 years at McChord AFB in charge of Aero Repair Reclamation, and 20 years volunteering at the McChord Air Museum restoring various aircraft including the B-18. He also worked 10 years at Jack Frost Air Conditioning. He was a member of the Tacoma Elks for 44 years and AERIE 2308 Puyallup Eagles for 15.
Cliff will always be remembered as a gentleman and will be missed by all who knew him. Especially by his daughter Linda McLellan (Dave), grandchildren Scott McLellan (Jennifer), Jeannine Rakestraw (Brent), seven great-grandchildren, sister, Florence Grimit, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a longtime companion, Dorthy Bartleme and her family.
