Mrs. Cora (Field) Alverson, 70, wife of Nelson D. Alverson of North Road Bridgeton, died early this morning at her home after an illness of 10 days. She was born in Scituate Nov. 9, 1868, a daughter of Almond and Mellissa (Knight) Field. She was active in the affairs of the former Kent Baptist church. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Miss Mabel F. Alverson of Bridgeton, two sisters,Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Sparta NJ and Mrs. George W. Fink, Sterling, Conn., a brother Arthur S. Field of Cranston and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 from the home of Rev. Walter B. Green, pastor of the Woodlawn Baptist Church of Pawtucket, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Phenix.
