Mary Carney Ausley-Welch, age 97, of Kilmarnock, Virginia, died December 2, 2020. She was predeceased by her parents, Wharton B. and Blanche T. Carney of Kilmarnock, Virginia, and by her first husband, Witt G. Ausley, and her second husband, Clarence Welch. Surviving is her daughter, Bonnie A. Aycock, of Kilmarnock, Virginia, a granddaughter, Stephanie A. Whaley and grandson, Jackson Hunter Whaley of Newport News, Virginia, and a granddaughter, Emily Ann Whaley of Gloucester, Virginia. She is also survived by a sister, Donna C. Dull, of Kilmarnock, Virginia. After graduation from Lively High School in Lively, Virginia, she and her late husband, Witt G. Ausley, operated a restaurant for many years known as “Witt’s Restaurant and Motel” in Lively, Virginia, until their retirement. She was a lifetime member of and has been actively involved in the “Shoe Box Ministry” in Kilmarnock Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kilmarnock, Virginia. Services are being handled by Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, with a private graveside service at Kilmarnock Seventh-Day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kilmarnock Seventh-Day Adventist Church, P.O. Box 1024, Kilmarnock, VA 22482.
