Rebecca Sands,daughter of Amasa and Elizabeth PIERCE,was born in Milan,Mo., Sep 12,1848.
She was united in marriage to Avry A.WOOD Sep 29,1870,and to this union 13 children were born,of which all preceded her in death,
eleven who died in infancy.Fanny (WOOD) BEALL passed away June 26,1920 and Pearl WOOD,May 2,1933.The husband,Avry A. WOOD,died May 24,1923.
After his death she made her home with her son,Pearl WOOD, at Warrensburg,Mo,and her sister,until his death,then with her sister,Mrs. Jane E.DRUMMOND,of Sidney,Missouri.
She departed from this life at the home of her sister,Nov 13,1933,being 85 years,2 months and 1 day of age.
She leaves to mourn her departure eight grand children and four great grandchildren.She also leaves one sister,Mrs. Jane E. DRUMMOND,of Sidney,Mo.,and two brothers,John W.Pierce,
also of Sidney,Mo and Welcome G. PIERCE,of Greencastle,Mo.,and a host of relatives and friends.
