Catherine P. Ziegler, age 82 of Alliance, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 at Essex of Salem. She was born February 15, 1928 in Salem, Ohio to Paul J. and Elsie (Ingledue) Phillips, and graduated in 1947 from Leetonia High School. Mrs. Ziegler was of the Protestant faith and member of the Eagles in Salem. Survivors include her children, Jim Morris of Leetonia, Lewis Morris of Salem, Deborah Huff of Salem, Arthur (Karen) Morris of New York, and Lloyd (Sarah) Pugh of Alliance; brothers, Henry Phillips, Virgil Phillips, Harvey Phillips, Benjamin Phillips, Paul Phillips, and Gary Phillips, all of Salem, John Phillips of Alabama, and Tom Phillips of Leetonia; sisters Elsie Stevenson of Negley, and Donna Mae Garber, of Salem; ten grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first Husband Lewis Morris, her second husband, Theodore J. Ziegler, whom she married Jan. 16, 1980, and who died in December, 1998, one brother, Charles Phillips and one sister, Lydia Modern. Services for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Joanie Cline officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
