Jerry passed away quietly, surrounded by his family both in person and in spirit, after a 2 week battle of pneumonia at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful Utah. It was a joyous reunion with his eternal companion of 65 years, Mona Park. He married Mona Ashton on May 6, 1956 and they were sealed in the Logan temple on November 16, 1959. They were only separated for 9 months before Jerry was reunited with his eternal companion, Mona. Jerry was born in Carlsborg, Washington to Frank and Leatha Park.

Jerry served honorably for 5 years in the United States Navy before pursuing his education. Jerry would never admit it, but he was a Professional Student because he loved to learn and gain new knowledge. Jerry had a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, a Masters and Doctorate in Microbiology, and then at the age of 51 received a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Chiropractic work became the second love of his life, next to Mona of course, because he loved to help others and serve his patients.

Jerry served 2 faithful missions, with his wife Mona, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 18 months in Mongolia and also 18 months at the Genealogy Library. They also served faithfully for more than 10 years at the Bountiful Temple.

Jerry is survived by 4 sisters: Connie Matthews, AZ; Linda(Tim) Bartkoski, MO; Laura(Brian) Quinn, KS; Paula Park, England; His 5 children: James (Lora) Park, Independence, MO; Cheryl Sheeley, Newcastle, WY; Robert (Cher) Park, Layton, UT; Jolene (Greg) Morgan, Centerville, UT; Samuel (Jennifer) Park, Pocatello, ID; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mona Park, sister Patricia Schwabland, brother Theodore Park, son in-law Bruce Sheeley and grandson Jacob Park.
