"The deaf and dumb Drown boys are getting quite an amount of money subscribed by the neighbors and townsmen towards buying another horse in lieu of the one they lost a short time since."
Funeral services for Lucius A. Drown, who died of heart trouble at the home of his son Earle S. Drown Saturday, August 14, were held at the home Morday afternoon with Rev.S. H. Smith of Hanover officiating.
Lucius A. Drown was born at Brownington October 4, 1850 to Nancy and Samuel Drown.
He was educated in the District school and held several town offices in Brownington.
He was married to Ida Bicktord January 1, 1874 and to them were born four sons, one of whom, Earle S.
survives him.
Mr. Drown had been a resident of this town for 13½ years coming here from West Burke and had retired from active business. He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
Bearers were Edward Goodwin, Chester Fogg. Ernest Strong and Claude Alden. Interment was at Brownington Center.
